CMSD ACHIEVES 12 CONSECUTIVE YEARS OF SUPERB FINANCIAL TRANSPARENCY
(Costa Mesa – CA) The Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) has once again recognized Costa Mesa Sanitary District (CMSD) for its outstanding financial reporting. CMSD has been awarded the prestigious Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for the twelfth consecutive year, underscoring the agency's commitment to transparent and comprehensive financial reporting practices.
Prepared by CMSD for the fiscal year ending on June 30, 2022, the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) underwent rigorous evaluation by an impartial panel. The report not only met the high standards of the program but also demonstrated a proactive approach to disclosure, effectively communicating CMSD's financial story to its stakeholders. The ACFR is available for review on CMSD's website, allowing interested parties to gain valuable insights into the District's financial performance and accomplishments.
