Grease is the biggest problem in the maintenance of sewer systems. From restaurants or residences, grease hardens in the line and blocks the flow causing a backup. These backups, or sewer spills, can pollute the Back Bay and the Pacific Ocean.

We need your help! Please NEVER put grease down the sink. Pour it into a container with a lid and place it in your trash. By taking this simple step, you are doing your very important part in preventing sewer system overflows and keeping the beaches clean.
