Coastal Cleanup Day at Upper Newport Bay

Every September, Newport Bay Conservancy hosts a volunteer deep cleaning of the Upper Newport Bay. In recent years, the Bay has seen an increase in litter, especially from single-use plastics, disposable masks, and gloves. We need your help to remove trash from the uplands and marsh areas of the Bay in order to protect local wildlife and public health. At last year's event, over 500 volunteers helped remove an estimated 5,424 pounds of trash from the bay!
