Sharps & Needles Disposal

medicineThe Costa Mesa Sanitary District no longer has a drop box for disposing of sharps and needles.

As an alternative, please visit Orange County Waste & Recycling's website to view the various drop box locations throughout the county.

Curbside Collection:

CMSD trash customers can schedule a FREE curbside pickup of their sharps and needles with CR&R through the Door-to-Door Household Hazardous Waste Collection Program. Please use any rigid (non-puncturable), sealed container to hold sharps. These can include thick plastic laundry detergent, bleach, or coffee containers.
